the highlight reel
mid-fall, Whistler
Jumped out of a plane over Golden, BC, first. Went back and did it again in Whistler because apparently once wasn't the lesson. Still scared of heights, every single time.
A university leadership expedition in partnership with Outward Bound: six people in a group, daily rotating leaders, and amazing views!
Bungee jumping in Montreal, then again off a canyon bridge in Whistler. Skydiving, someone else pushes you out of the plane. Bungee, you have to jump yourself (much scarier!).
New shoes, zero training, no nutrition plan until strangers at bib pickup built me one on the spot.
Hands-free along a ledge above Toronto, clipped to an overhead rail with nothing else between me and the drop.
Did Vipassana Meditation twice now. No phone, no books, no talking, not even eye contact. The hardest one on this list, by far!
day 1: what have i done
day 4: i would kill for my phone
day 7: actually kind of calm?
day 10: i didn't want to leave
Went on a solo trip to Vancouver, knowing literally no one there. Posted online that I was organizing a tech meetup and surprisingly, fifteen strangers showed up.
What if more business students actually knew Product Management existed? I built a student club to answer that. Grew it to 100+ members, hired a team of five, and ran speaker events and hackathons that brought product leaders on campus for hands-on exposure.
